In a fit of boredom, I went flipping through some Authority: Vol.2 and sadly just noticed that Apollo was totally Clark Kent'ing it up during his family's house search in San Francisco. The thick stupid glasses, the unflattering blue suit. (Not sure what Midnighter was doing in that.. '80s vest ensemble.)

Anyway. I'm convinced Apollo's getup was Angie's idea, comic book geek that she is. And of course, her gay boyfriend would indulge her.

this is just so much fun. the amount of charater in this is great, what with angie's melodramatic, mock supprise which totally fits her dialogue. also, the combination of flat, translucent colour and the pencil work showing through underneith creates a really interesting effect. it's a nice tecnique.
